7 Things We are Looking Forward To Most On Our Next 2018 Trip
A Disney World holiday is full of things to look forward to. I could probably list hundreds. But, I've narrowed it down to the 7 things i'm most excited to do or see when our next 2018 trip eventually arrives.
Star Wars Dessert Party
The Star Wars dessert party is one of the best value for money dessert party (for adults anyway). They have an open bar with some delicious cocktails. (Galatic Punch is our favourite.) We love the Star Wars theme, all the food, the drinks and the spot. You also get some bottled water to take back with you. We were very sad we missed out on it last year because the night we had the party booked, hurricane Irma struck.
We went to Halloween party last year (dressed as Wally and Wenda) last year and loved it. We already have our tickets for 2018. Even though the prices have gone up again, we're very much much looking forward to taking part in this year's party.
Toy Story Land
Even though we have pretty low expectations of Toy Story Land, it seems on quite a small scale and overall wont be that impressive, we can't wait to check it out when it opens in Lune. We've come to love Pandora: The World Of Avatar even though we have no love for the movie whatsoever. A new land to explore is always fun, although we do think it's a little overhyped. We'll have to wait and see!
Flights Of Passage
Flights Of Passage is hands down the best simulator ride at Disney World right now. (Soarin' used to hold that top spot for me, but the new version just has too many jarring scenes and too much CGI, so now it's a comfortable second place.) Even though the motorbike-type-thing you sit on isn't that comfortable, and the "breatthing" simulation is more distracting than immersive, the special effects and overall experience is fantastic, and I can't wait to go on it again. Also, I now know to use all my Animal Kingdom Fastpass+ for Flights Of Passage, instead of using it for Navi River Journey.
Watching Happily Ever After
Wishes was great, we all know that. But, Happily Ever After is a great replacement for the show. We will probably even watch it with the dessert party.
Eating At Tusker House
Our favourite character restaurant for both breakfast and dinner is Tusker house. The food is great, the characters are great, there's nothing to fault here. We're always excited to visit again.
Walking Into Epcot
Seeing the beautiful Spaceship Earth - there's nothing quite like it. People get in awe when seeing castle, but for me it’s Spaceship Earth. Nothing fills me with joy more than walking up to the entrance of Epcot and seeing the giant Epcot ball appear as you head for baggage check.
