Disney May Charge You Resort Parking, Make Sure You Dispute It
Guide 04-Aug-2019
We are now into the busy holiday season and even though the Pound is hitting new lows, many of you will soon be on the way to Disney World if you aren't already.
For those who are renting a car and parking it at a Disney World resort, you might be aware Disney decided to start charging you to do so. However, guests from the UK do NOT have to pay these parking fees until 2020. We've been told by a few followers that Disney tried to charge them parking fees, so it is something to be aware of for the rest of the year.
You do NOT have to pay parking charges to park at the resorts, so make sure you keep an eye on your room bills and make sure you dispute the parking fee if it gets added. The Disney World UK FAQ states:
"Guests residing in the UK and Ireland checking in on or after 1st January 2020 will be charged for overnight resort parking.
Guests checking in late 2019 whose stay stretches into 2020 will not be charged as their arrival date is in 2019. Overnight self-parking will be complimentary for Guests with disabilities. "
If you have any trouble disputing it, save the link and screenshot below to show to the cast member.
Remember to be friendly to cast members. Don't get angry at them if they've added a charge for parking to your room. Disney are charging everyone else for parking, and unless they've been told that UK guests shouldn't be charged, they may just charge you because that's how things are now. Be polite, and refer to the links and image above and you'll be able to continue to have a magical day.
