Disney are taking the health and safety measures seriously so they can run the Magic At Sea Disney Cruise in a safe and responsible way. They've implemented measures based on guidance from the UK government, health authorities and medical experts. In order for you to sail, you will be required to meet health and safety requirements, including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.
All adults aged 18+ must be fully vaccinated to experience the Magic At Sea Disney Cruise. There are no exceptions. The NHS currently defines "fully vaccinated" as 7 days after the final dose. You must create an account and submit your vaccination status PDF (from the NHS app) to Disney's partner company, Prenetics.
All guests under the age 18 must take and submit a PCR test. You can get discounted test kits from Prenetics at the price of £71 each. These tests must be taken between 5 days and 24 hours prior to the date you set sail. Guests under 18 who are fully vaccinated are not required to pay for and take a PCR test.
On Embarkation day, all guests will be required to take a rapid test before boarding. All tests administered at the terminal will be at the expense of Disney Cruise Line. Guests with positive COVID-19 test results, as well as those in their travel party, will be denied boarding. If you test positive, you will have a chance to take another to confirm the results. If you have two positive tests, you will be denied boarding and will be fully refunded.
Disney Cruise Line is operating at elevated cleaning and sanitation levels, with an emphasis on high-touch surfaces. Activities, virtual queues, and guest services live chat will be utilised via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app where possible.
All ships will be equipped with a new purification system that cleans both air and surface areas using a process called ionization. We are also increasing the circulation of fresh air on board our ships, and all HVAC air filters have been upgraded to MERV-13 high efficiency grade, which can remove very small particles. Additionally, each stateroom maintains singular air circulation, eliminating the need for air intake from adjacent common areas.
All Guests (ages 11 and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19) are required to wear face coverings indoors. Exceptions include when Guests are in their staterooms or actively eating or drinking (while stationary and maintaining an appropriate physical distance). Face coverings are not required for Guests outdoors while on board the ship.
