2021 has been quite a year. Most of the year travel bans have been in place, but there was still magic to be found this year including Disney doing staycation cruises, France opening their borders but then shutting them again soon after. The USA opening its borders and at the time of writing, they still are open! Disney is tempted those who have not yet booked for 2022 to book now and get up to 2 free Disney resort nights so you can experience the 50th anniversary celebrations. I can't wait to see it myself! With a year of lockdowns and travel bans, I was fortunate to enjoy some magic throughout the year and to have someone special to share it with. Many people are desperate for some magic (or just a holiday in general), and fortunately, we managed to squeeze in some good doses of magic here and there.
Disney's Magic At Sea in July was our first time on a Disney cruise. Things were a little different than what I've seen Disney cruises usually are, but it was an incredible time and such a relief after the year of lockdowns we've had prior. We did another cruise in late August as we enjoyed the first one so much, and now looking forward to our Bahamian Disney Cruise on the new Disney Wish later in 2022.
Disneyland Paris in November was our first time there in over 12 years. France opened their borders in the autumn (and subsequently closed them again in December) so we decided to give Disneyland Paris a try (as we won't be back at Disney World until 2022 now). We had a really nice time staying at Disney's Hotel New York - The Art Of Marvel. We're going to head back in the new year as soon as France lets us back in.
Here in the UK, we were super lucky to be invited to Disney's special 50th anniversary event in London in October. We also met a bunch of our followers who were lucky enough to win tickets and had a great night.
For the first time, I watched The Lion King in London and Disney On Ice in Exeter. Both were brilliant.
Mickey From The UK Social
We've gained thousands more British Disney fan followers on Facebook over the year. I've started posting more on Instagram since our Magic At Sea sailings and we have over 5,000 followers there now. I decided to start posting a few random video clips to Tiktok and a video we posted being stuck on Buzz at Disneyland Paris reached 2 million views. Finally, our Email Club has grown so much, and I thank everyone who has signed up! It's unlikely you'll see everything we post on social media, so our Email Club is the best way to see everything easily and quickly and read more on what interests you the most.
