Bahamian Disney Cruises Now Require All Adults To Be Fully Vaccinated
News - DCL 24-Aug-2021
Disney restarted their cruise sailings here in the UK with the Magic At Sea staycation. All adult guests onboard need to fully vaccination against COVID-19 in order to sail. On the other side of the pond though, the first Bahamian cruise restarted this month, and guests were not required to be vaccinated.
However, last week The Bahamian government announced they would be prohibiting cruise ships from docking (including at Disney's private island Castaway Cay) if guests aged 12+ onboard were not fully vaccinated. This put Disney Cruise Line in a bit of a pickle.
A week has passed and today Disney has made the announcement that Disney Cruise Line will now require all guests aged 12+ to be fully vaccinated. Guests under 12 will have to submit a negative PCR test up to 5 days before sailing.
This requirement is currently live for sailings between September 3rd and November 1st 2021.
