Bob Iger Hints At Temperature Screening Possibility At Walt Disney World

Bob Iger (who was the previous Disney CEO and now Executive Chairman) has hinted at the possibility of temperature checks at Walt Disney World in a new interview with Barrons.
One of the things that we’re discussing already is that in order to return to some semblance of normal, people will have to feel comfortable that they’re safe. Some of that could come in the form ultimately of a vaccine, but in the absence of that it could come from basically, more scrutiny, more restrictions. Just as we now do bag checks for everybody that goes into our parks, it could be that at some point we add a component of that that takes people’s temperatures, as a for-instance.
Disney are obviously looking at getting their parks open as soon as possible, and this is the first official glimpse into some of Disney's possible plans. How this would work in reality leaves a lot of questions. Considering you don't get symptoms and fevers until on average 5 days from being infected, as well as a good amount of Covid-19 infected people are asymptomatic throughout the entire infection. That's not even touching upon the fact it's very warm in Florida. If you get turned away because you have a raised temperature for any reason, are you entitled to refunds? Disney are currently doing temperature checks at Shanghai Disneyland for resort stays (the parks at the time of writing are still closed), but It'll be interesting how this policy would work in Florida.
