Disney Agrees To Boost Disney World Cast Members Pay To $15/Hour

For over a year now, unions have been fighting for the workers of Disney Parks to be paid a better wage. Today, Disney has reached an agreement with its workers at Walt Disney World to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour by 2021.
Disney said in a statement that the deal contains the "largest proposal ever offered by Walt Disney World Resort with significant pay raises."
All workers will still get the $1,000 bonuses they were promised at the start of the year.
It's a shame Disney doesn't just pay what they are worth, but that's business! I think it's fair to say that the cast members deserve every penny and more, as a big chunk of the Disney experience is down to these cast members. The downside is the cost will probably be passed on as higher prices, or cuts elsewhere. We'll have to see.
