Disney Declares November 12th As "Disney+ Day" As 116 Million Subscriber Milestone Reached

On the most recent Walt Disney Company earnings call, CEO Bob Chapek announced that Disney+ now has 116 million subscribers worldwide, surpassing the expected 113 million expectation by analysts.

Also announced was "Disney+ Day", which will take place on November 12th, celebrating the service's second birthday with an "unprecedented" cross-promotional campaign, where new titles are due to be announced.

Chapek also noted that the Direct to Consumer department, which includes Disney+, is the company's top priority.
