Love it or hate it, the Disney park pass system is here to stay, at least for now. The system was introduced to control crowds during the current reduced capacity, but was only required for stays up until September 2021. Now Disney has released their 14 day for the price 7 offer and allowed the tickets to be used throughout the entire of 2021, the park pass system has been extended until mid-January 2022. It's unclear if Disney plans to use this forever, or whether it's just to navigate reduced capacity during the pandemic. Keep in mind that just because you might have booked park days for November 2021, doesn't mean Disney can't turn off using this system and immediately go back to how things were, if circumstances allow.
There is no still no indication of the return of park hopping or the Disney dining plan yet either.
