Disneyland California Ticket Price Increases Show What May Come To Disney World
Ahead of Star Wars: Galaxies Edge opening, these increases give us some colour on the price increases coming to Disney World this year.
Disney raises their ticket prices every year. More recently, it has been several times per year. For Disney World, the last price hike was in October 2018 for annual pass holders. The price change was:
Platinum Plus Pass - Was $949, now $994
Platinum Pass - Was $849, now $894
Gold Plus Pass - Was $589, now $609 (Florida residents only)
Silver Plus Pass - Was $439, now $479 (Florida residents only)
They also increased the prices of parking at the parks.
Today, Disney updated their website with the ticket price increases for Disneyland California, which might give us some colour on the price increases for Disney World this year. Keep in mind, Disneyland California's Star Wars Land opens in the summer of 2019, while Disney World's opens in late fall.
Disneyland California's day tickets have increased by up to 10%, and their annual passes up to 24%.
For those who do not know, Disney offer a "Premier Pass" which is an annual pass that gives you access to both Disneyland California and Walt Disney World. That pass has been increased from $1,579 to $1,949. That gives some colour on what kind of increases we'll expect at Disney World.
On the positive side for us though, our UK Ultimate Ticket is at the moment the same price all the way to the end of 2019. Although this may change when Disney World's price increase comes in. So if you need tickets for this year, buy them now.
Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is due to open 'late fall' at Disney World.
