This week Disneyland Paris announced new annual passes with increased prices and severely reduced benefits and perks. A new change.org petition has been created by Quentin to share his and other AP holder's displeasure at the new passes. The petition at the time of writing as hit 10,000 signatures. There's also a second petition (by English AP holders) currently at 1500 signatures. The uproar is mainly due because of the mixed messaging from Disneyland Paris. They abruptly stopped sales of the annual passes a few months ago with the message:
We are currently developing a new product range based on the valuable feedback you have given us and as a result, we are pausing sales of new Annual Passes.
The main complaint about annual passes was the 3 park reservation limit, but that wasn't addressed at all when the new passes were announced. Instead, the top annual pass got a 200 Euro increase, and most of the basic annual pass perks were shockingly removed. It's unclear what " valuable feedback" they were reading. No more privilege tickets, no more dedicated Annual pass entrance, no more dedicated fireworks and parade viewing areas, no more rental discounts, no more included bag storage, no more AP discounted hotel rates. What's worse, if you have one of the previous annual passes and paid for 12 months, you lose those benefits part way through your term. There's likely small print saying they can do this, but it adds to the uproar of treating customers badly.
In our opinion, they want you to cancel your annual passes, or at least most of you.
