Now that Disney's calendar has opened up for November 2019, Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom evening has been restored. The October evening hours are still showing morning instead of evening on Wednesdays. It's unclear at this stage why October's Extra Magic Hours has been switched, but I'm glad it's not a permanent change. As After Hours dates have not yet been announced past August, these evenings look like they're still geared up for extra events or even perhaps extra Halloween dates to be added. We'll update when we know more.
Disney open up one of the four main theme parks either an hour earlier than standard opening time, or up to 2 hours later than the standard closing time each day of the week, for guests who stay at one of the Disney owned or partner resort hotels.
Monday - Animal Kingdom AM
Tuesday - Epcot PM
Wednesday - Magic Kingdom PM
Thursday - Epcot AM
Friday - Magic Kingdom AM
Saturday - Animal Kingdom AM
Sunday - Hollywood Studios AM
However, starting from October 2019, both the Wednesday’s Magic Kingdom evening Extra Magic Hours has been replaced with morning Extra Magic Hours.
If this isn’t an temporary anomaly, this looks like Magic Kingdom evening Extra Magic Hours are going away and being replaced with morning Extra Magic Hours. This opens up Disney to offer an extra After Hours (which we give high praise for now) night another day of the week, which is the most likely reason for this change.
Although Disney have not yet posted events outside of the Halloween nights for October, it’s interesting to note that the UK free dining offer is only for stays up to October 2nd, which is when it looks like Magic Kingdom Extra Magic Hours switches from evenings to morning — although this could be a coincidence.
