Minnie Van Cost Increases Overall With New Distance Pricing Structure
The Minnie Van flat fee is now over and a new distance based pricing structure now active which makes most trips more expensive.
Disney have increased the prices of the Minnie Van service for some of the routes today due to a pricing structure change. When the service started it was a flat fee of $20 to to anywhere on property. As the novelty was still very much alive, the price was increased to $25.
We have been using it a lot this week and have loved it, but even at $25 the cost sure adds up.
Today, Disney has changed the pricing structure from a flat fee to a distance based. Which sounds great for shorter rides, however the prices seem to be higher for majority of trips around Walt Disney World.
There is a $15 flat fee for all trips and then a price per mile added on top of that.
To get from Animal Kingdom to Magic kingdom now costs a cool $38. We were using it get from Pop Century to Magic Kingdom which now costs $36. A 40% price hike overnight!
A short realistic ride as an example from Animal Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge costs $17 now. A saving if you were using it for shorter trips like this.
It’ll be interesting to see how these changes change demand going toward.
