We shared with you recently that Eurostar is suspending the direct route from London to Disneyland Paris starting June 5th 2023. The BBC has given a few more tidbits on the situations.
Eurostar said the decision was taken to focus on "core routes" as it recovered from the pandemic and monitored plans for new European Union entry and exit rules. However, Eurostar said it would "revisit options" for 2024 next year, so there's some hope it could return. The new European Union entry and exit system includes an ESTA like system, as well as travellers from outside the EU (now us in the UK) must have their fingerprints scanned and photograph taken, instead of just having their passport manually stamped. This would require investment at the Marne-la-Vallee- which is said to be not feasible as a result of Brexit coupled with lower demand.
Travellers can still get the train to Disneyland Paris, but they must change at Paris or Lille.
