Social Distancing Extended To End Of April, Walt Disney Resort Likely To Remain Closed
Presddent Trump has extended the social distancing measures to combat the Coronavirus until the end of April, making an early Walt Disney World resort reopening unlikely.
Disney has released a new offer for American guests who had their vacations cancelled due to Coronavirus. While this offer is not valid in the UK, the offer is good for stays from June 1st. Along with that, you can now only book dining reservations starting June 1st. These are definitely signs that Disney is optimistic that they'll begin reopening around June 1st.
While Walt Disney World is currently closed "until further notice", President Donald Trump last night announced that social distancing measures will now have to be in place until the end of April. This makes it highly unlikely Walt Disney World resort will be reopening in April, which means, at the time of writing, Walt Disney World could reopen in May. However, looking at Disney's reservation policies and offers, a reopening in June is most likely.
