TSA Allows Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Bottles On Flights After Internet Outrage
News 31-Aug-2019
A tweet I sent earlier in the month appeared to have been caught by the OC Register a couple weeks later who ran a story on it, and then it made its way around the Disney community. I asked the TSA if the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Coca-Cola bottles would be allowed on fights due to their explosive appearance. Ironically, I only asked because I saw tweets some days before asking the same thing and wanted an answer myself, but my tweet caught the attention of the OC Register and that's why you're seeing it everywhere.
Since then, people have been in a bit of an uproar about their reply saying they weren't allowed because their appearance is of a thermal detonator.
Now, the TSA released a statement saying they were now allowed to be taken onto flights. However, if you want to take them as hand-luggage, they do need to be empty.
