Universal Orlando Will NOT Enforce Indoor Face Coverings, But Will Encourage Them
[PARKS] After the CDC updated their recommendations, Disney reinstated their indoor face covering policy, but Universal Orlando will not enforce them, only encourage them.
Acknowledging the problem of the delta variant and a high number of unvaccinated individuals, the CDC updated their guidance this week recommending that all citizens in the US, whether vaccinated or not, to wear face coverings indoors once again in states with high rates of transmission. Florida is one of those states.
With this recommendation change, Disney has reinstated their indoor face covering policy at Walt Disney World whether a guest is vaccinated or not. Disney's noisy neighbours - Universal Studios - has updated their guidance, but will not be enforcing face coverings in their theme parks. Universal Orlando will encourage all guests to follow CDC guidelines and local directives to wear face coverings while indoors, but will not enforce it. However, team members will be required to wear face coverings indoors again.
