USA Eases Travel Rules For 61 Countries - But UK Still Banned
News - UK 09-Jun-2021
The USA is easing the travel rules for 61 countries (via the BBC) - down to the same level the UK is currently on.
America's public health agency updated their criteria which lowered 61 countries from the level 4 "avoid all travel" to the level 3 rating. These countries include France, Spain, Italy and Canada.
Although the UK is on level 3, President Biden signed a presidential decree to not allow travel from the UK as we were going through a peak at the time.
The USA is still on the UK's "amber" list, which means if you do travel, you must self-isolate for 10 days upon return.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and President Joe Biden are to discuss the possibility of opening up the UK>USA travel corridor at the upcoming G7 meeting.
