Walt Disney World Reinstates Indoor Face Covering Policy For All Guests
[WDW] Disney has updated their website to confirm that face coverings are now required again indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
Acknowledging the problem of the delta variant and a high number of unvaccinated individuals, the CDC (via New York Times) updated their guidance this week recommending that all citizens in the US, whether vaccinated or not, to wear face coverings indoors once again in states with high rates of transmission. The previous guidance was face covering indoors was only required by those who were not vaccinated.
She said most new cases of COVID-19 are coming from unvaccinated individuals, and fully vaccinated people account for a relatively small number.
Beginning July 30, face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors and in Disney buses, monorail and Disney Skyliner, regardless of vaccination status. This includes upon entering and throughout all attractions. Face coverings remain optional for all Guests in outdoor common areas.
