Boathouse At Disney Springs Review

Boathouse At Disney Springs Review

This is a review for Boathouse at Disney Springs, we dined here on September 2019.

This is the third time eating a Boathouse, located at Disney Springs. We ate once in 2015, which was a below average experience, and again in 2017 where we found it to be much better. So this recent trip, we decided to eat there again, and here are our thoughts.

Before taking our order, the server brings out water and bread. This is one of the best bread offerings on property. I really would just be happy eating that bread all evening.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is very relaxed and calming.

We were both 'ankerin' for some pulled pork, so we both ordered the pulled pork sandwich, with a side of mac 'n' cheese.

The pulled pork sandwich was really, really good. Nothing gets us in the American food mood like a good bit of pulled pork and mac 'n' cheese. The mac 'n' cheese was delicious, too. It was real quality pasta, not like the cheap (but delightful) stuff you get in the Disney buffets. The fries were not very good, though, which has resulted in a sting to their score. However, in future I will ask for a jacket spud instead.

I will echo what I've said in the past, and that this restaurant is not worth 2 table-service dining credits. In my previous review conclusion I noted:

"We would visit again if we had any nights with no spare credits, but we'd go for the more reasonable priced menu options if buying it ourselves."

That's what we did this time. The reason it is 2 credits is because they do offer a $60+ Porterhouse and a $50+ lobster dish. We paid cash for our meal because we always like to eat at California Grill (which is also 2 table-service credits) which leaves an evening free for us to either have a quick-service option, or pay out of pocket for a sit-down meal.

The Boathouse is delicious, and worth paying cash to have an average priced meal, but is not worth using 2 table-service dining credits for unless you plan to have the Porterhouse, but even then, I wouldn't say it's worth it over other 2 table-service dining credit restaurants.
