180 days before your check-in date at 11am, you can start booking Disney restaurants. And it is highly recommended you start doing this as soon as you possibly can.
It's probably best to put it in your calendar, or make an alert on your phone.
I'm not kidding.
There are some restaurants which get snapped up so quickly, especially at busier times of the years, you want to make sure you get your restaurants planned and booked as soon as you can.
Plan where you want to eat
The Disney website lists all the available restaurants, and we advise you go through the list prior to your 180 day mark to get at least a rough idea of where you'd like to eat.
180 days to go!
When your 180 day mark hits, you'll be able to book up to 10 days restaurants after that date. Keep in mind Disney do change this policy every now and then, so keep an eye out in case it's a different scenario for when you go.
You book restaurants through your My Disney Experience account. Scroll down and you'll see your booking options, as shown below.
The first option is for your fastpass+, but you cannot book those until 60 days before, so you'll see a padlock there. You want to focus on the dining reservations section. Click on 'Find a table'.
It will then take you to the page that lists all their restaurants. At the top, change the date to the first day of your holiday, then click search. All results are listed alphabetically. You'll see the available times on the right. Click the time that best suits you.
Once you click on the time you want, you'll be asked to confirm who will be part of this reservation. (If you haven't already, you can go onto your Disney account and add the friends and family who are coming with you on your trip, this is optional, although a nice touch).
You will then be required to enter a debit or credit card to reserve your table. You will not be charged (unless paying for a dining event up front, which will be made clear).
If you do not turn up to your reservation on the day, you will be charged at least $10 per person. You must give at least 24 hours notice if you are not going to make your reservation.
You are then required to enter an email and phone number to complete the reservation. Sometimes you might have trouble on this step because the system is expecting an American phone number, which have a much different format than ours. The trick to get around it, is to not include the first 0 of your phone number, as shown below.
Once your reservation is complete, it will show on your My Disney Experience account.
