About Mickey From The UK
Mickey From The UK was founded in 2017 when I realised there was a lack of websites and resources that covered Disney Parks that were focused on the British experience. Before Mickey From The UK, I regularly kept up with Disney Parks news but had no interest in content that included offers that were only for US guests, Disney products only being sold on the US shopDisney, or when Florida residents were offered a ticket discount. I wanted to keep up with important Disney Parks news as well as travel news that was relevant for Orlando travel from the UK.
I thought to myself I couldn't be the only British Disney fanatic who wanted to keep up with the general Disney Parks news as well as UK-focused travel news, so Mickey From The UK was born. The Disney Parks can appear overwhelming. Even more so for Brits taking into account the American culture we need to navigate as well. I wanted to create a resource and community to help people get the most out of their Disney Parks holidays, coupled with wanting an outlet to share my Disney Parks experiences from a British perspective.
As I'm a web developer by day, I created Mickey From The UK myself and began working on growing the community in 2017. The website has changed a little bit over the years, but Mickey From The UK had primarily been a Walt Disney World-focused website, but recently I have expanded the content to cover Disneyland® Paris, Disney Cruise Line, and shopDisney. I'm not focused on being first or covering absolutely everything. I just focus on sharing the news relating to Disney Parks and UK travel that's important to British Disney Parks fans, as well as sharing my experiences and reviews.
