We show you how to link a Disney World Magic Band to your Disney account. This only applies if you have purchased a Magic Band in the parks, or if you're staying off-site. If you're staying at a Disney World resort hotel, the free Magic Bands will be automatically linked to your account. (If you have preciously linked to your holiday to your My Disney Experience account.)
Disney give free Magic Bands if you're staying at Disney hotel, but they also offer a wide variety of Magic Bands for sale in the parks. They sell them in almost all shops, and even have "D-Tech on demand" stations where you can customise and make your own. If you have purchased one this way, you will need to link to your account to be able to use all the great features that Magic Bands offer.
On the website, you will see a link that says "Personalize Your MagicBand". Click on that. On your app, click "My Account" and then "MagicBands & Cards".
On the website, scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see a section that allows you to link a Magic Band. On the app, you'll see a button that says "Link A MagicBand or Card".
Then all you have to do is follow the instructions, which will ask you to input the serial number on your new Magic Band. When that is done, it will be linked to your account and you'll be able to access your tickets, fastpasses etc from your new Magic Band.
Whether you were given Magic Bands for staying at a Disney hotel, or if you've purchased one separately and linked it to your account as above, you'll be able to track and view your Magic Bands using the My Disney Experience app.
