After you have made your Disney World booking(s), you will soon be able to build your My Disney Experience. Firstly, if you haven't already, go to the My Disney Experience website, and create a Disney account.
From there, you can link your booking to your Disney account. Click the link ‘Connect Reservations’ and you’ll be brought to the below screen.
Enter your travel agent's booking number and your surname, and then fill out the rest of the information when asked. Keep in mind it can take up to 7 days for your travel agent bookings to appear on Disney's side. So it may not work right away.
If you have separate bookings for hotel and tickets, go back and do the process over for each of the different bookings you have until your full Disney package appear on your screen, as shown below.
Your My Disney Experience account will now show all your bookings. Scroll down you'll see your available options, and further down will be the day by day breakdown of your holiday.
Setup your Magic Bands
If you're staying at a Disney hotel, you'll get the option to customise your magic bands now. Click the 'Personalize Your MagicBand' link, and choose which magic bands you'd like for each member of your party. These will be given to you on the day when you check-in to your hotel.
Online Check-In
Online check-in is now available for UK guests. But, Disney only deliver magic bands to their US based guests. UK guests pick their magic bands up when they check-in.
Get The App
Get the app on your mobile phone and have access to all the information. Search your app store for 'my disney experience' or 'disney world'.
When Do I Book?
180 days before your check-in day, you can start to book restaurants. 60 days before your check-in day (30 if not staying in a Disney hotel) you can book your Fastpass+. This will be explained in a later chapter.
Setting Up The Mobile App
Once you have linked your holiday to your My Disney Experience account, you can then move onto the next step. Which is setting up the My Disney Experience app so you have all your holiday details and reservations in your pocket!
