Testing for travel continues to change, so we've made this guide to try to make the requirements for travel as clear as possible for your upcoming Disney trip. We've laid out all the testing requirements for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris holidays.
Test 2 (for unvaccinated travellers under 18)
The CDC requires unvaccinated travellers - including unvaccinated children between 2 and 17 - to take a COVID-19 LFT/antigen test between 3 and 5 days after arriving in the USA. These do not have to be reported or uploaded anywhere, but the attestation form you sign with your airline requires you to swear you take these tests for unvaccinated travellers in your party. You could order the "Lateral Flow Antigen Test Kit" and take them with you. You can then take the test upload it, and get your negative certificate to show to anyone who asks. If your under 18 year old is fully vaccinated (two main jabs) they are not required to take this test.
It brings me great joy to be about to write that fully vaccinated Brits can now travel to and from France without the need of any COVID-19 tests and forms. Starting February 11th, the return to UK day 2 test was scrapped, and starting February 12th, France no longer requires a pre-departure LFT to enter the country for the fully vaccinated, and starting March 31st, no more forms are needed and unvaccinated travellers can travel with just the need of a test.
All travellers 12+ must have had their primary two vaccines. That's two doses the of Pfizer, Moderna, or Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. For travellers aged 18+ only, if it's been 9 months since the date of your second dose, to be considered "fully vaccinated" you must have received your COVID-19 booster dose.
If you're not "fully vaccinated" and aged 12+ as outlined above, a pre-departure LFT is required to be taken within 48 hours of travel. This must a test purchased from a private company. The test you will need is the "Lateral Flow Antigen Test Kit", which costs just £17 each. You can then take the test within 48 hours of departure, upload it, and get your negative certificate to show at the border. Children under 12 are exempt from all the rules and can travel freely.
