Florida Governor attributed this big increase in new cases to more testing, but it seems that there is another spike of infections recorded in the state of Florida.
The state of Florida appears to be having another spike of positive COVID-19 test results, pointing to increased community spread throughout the state, according to the New York Times.
In response to the increase in cases, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attributed the increase in cases to more testing, saying "we are not shutting down. We are going to go forward and we are going to continue to protect the most vulnerable."
Even with an increase in confirmed cases, the deaths attributed to COVID-19 still appear to be flat or declining in the state of Florida.
