Orlando Man Threatens To Kill Epcot Security Guard Over Face Covering Rule
[WDW] A resident of Orlando visiting Epcot earlier in the month got into an altercation with a Disney security guard of the face covering rule.
The Orlando Sentinel has reported an incident that took place in early August involving a Disney security guard at Epcot and an Orlando resident.
Enrico Toro, 35, is accused of hitting the Disney security guard at Epcot in the head and threatening to kill him, which led to his arrest. He struck the security guard when he was reminded to follow the theme park’s mask rules. The male continued cussing and began threatening that he knew where he (the security guard) lived and was going to kill him. He is being charged with misdemeanor battery.
Disney has released the below statement in response to this altercation.
We expect guests to treat our cast members with courtesy and respect, and while the vast majority of guests have adapted to our new measures, this unfortunate case required law enforcement.
