TUI Still Saying Bristol Flights Are Going Ahead, But Some Customers Saying Their Flights Have Been Cancelled
News - Travel 18-Oct-2022
We shared with you over the weekend that TUI appear to have pulled their 2023 Bristol to Orlando (Melbourne) fights. You can no longer book holidays or flights to Orlando from Bristol through 2023 on the TUI website and the Bristol airport website has also pulled the flights from their schedule. TUI are publicly denying that these flights are cancelled, to the press and customers. A TUI spokesperson told BristolWorld:
"This is not true. We will still be flying from Bristol to Melbourne Orlando Airport next summer".
We contacted TUI travel agents and were told that Bristol to Orlando holidays & flights are showing as a "Stop Sale", but the very friendly reps could not confirm if this was temporary or not.
We've had readers try to contact TUI and some people are being told that the flights they have already booked are still going ahead.
" I phoned customer services and they said flights were going ahead as planned from Bristol."
"When I phoned they said the flight was going ahead."
"I phoned twice and got fobbed off they kept telling me not to worry and they would be in touch."
However, many others were told that their flights were not going ahead.
"I spoke to them this morning and they confirmed the Bristol flights weren’t going ahead. They eventually gave me a full refund."
"I was told they were going to contact people over the next few weeks. I told them I wasn’t prepared for them to keep my money for another few weeks for a service they aren’t providing."
"Did a live chat today and was told that it hasn't even made official but we will be contacted in order or when flying."
"We fly September 2023 and popped into the TUI store and they told us we'll get an email with our options in 2 or 3 weeks."
