A small relief for the travel industry was given today as the UK government announces (via Sky) that the pre-departure test when returning to England has now been scrapped. The rule change will apply from 4am 7th January and apply to just England for now (sorry Scots & Welsh).
So, starting 4am January 7th, to travel to abroad to Walt Disney World:
An LFT 3-5 days after arriving in the USA (only for all unvaccinated children under 17)
Then a day 2 PCR test after you've returned home for travellers aged 4+.
This will be a huge relief to many travellers, not just because of the reduced cost due to testing, but removing the fear of testing positive before departing and having to isolate abroad.
Don't forget, Disney are now running a new promotion for 2022 stays during the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebrations. Click here to check it out.
