US Will Not Lift Travel Restrictions "At This Point" Due to Delta Variant - White House
Reuters is exclusively reporting that the U.S. will not lift travel restrictions, citing the Delta variant as the reason.
The United States will not lift any existing travel restrictions "at this point" due to concerns over the highly transmissible COVID-19 Delta variant and the rising number of U.S. coronavirus cases, a White House official told Reuters... But the official added: "The administration understands the importance of international travel and is united in wanting to reopen international travel in a safe and sustainable manner."
The Biden administration has refused to offer what needs to happen to trigger the reopening of the borders so the devastated tourism industry can resume trade, and families can see loved ones again.
This news come as Virgin and British Airways have been emailing customers cancelling their flights for the entirety of August 2021.
