Virgin Atlantic has announced (via Travel Weekly) that they will be reducing the amount of flights to Orlando in 2023.
During May and June of 2023, the number of flights from London Heathrow to Orlando will be reduced to 11 per week, down from 14. Flights from Manchester will run once per day, instead of 11 per week. Flights from Belfast have been dropped completely during the summer of 2023. Edinburgh to Orlando flights - due to restart on April 1st - has been pushed to June 21st.
In a statement, a Virgin spokesperson said, "We have a commitment to fly the routes where our customers most want to travel. As customer demand continues to return strongly after the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re making adjustments to upcoming flying schedules to support the ramp-up of our operation and to reflect changes in customer demand outlook. Where a flight is cancelled, customers have the choice to request a voucher or full refund. If re-routing is a suitable and available option, we can also rebook customers on alternative services."
