Summary: A beautiful well-themed lounge with comfy seating only slightly hindered by its location and unique drinks selection.
"The Bayou" is a lounge bar situated just to the right as you enter the ship for the first time. Unlike previous Disney ships, the bars are spread out across the ship rather than all clumped together in certain sections. The Bayou is situated in-between two walkways on each end of the ship giving the lounge area an open feel to it.
Because this lounge is not in (or near) the adult section and is situated in a busy area where guests are walking each side of it most of the time, it may be undesirable for some guests as every now and then it can be quite noisy as excited guests are whizzing by each side of you. This isn't a cosy and intimate lounge like Key & Compass, but the Disney Wish does offer a couple of those sorts of lounges if you prefer. However, we visited this lounge about 3 times and were never distracted by the guests walking by each side.
The lounge area is beautiful. You can see from the photo above how well-themed and nice it looks. The seats are super comfy and they're well spread out. On select evenings, they do have live musicians play as well.
There are plenty of seats at the bar as well, which is where we prefer to sit so we can talk to the bar staff directly.
I found the cocktail selection quite limited, but they will make pretty much anything you ask for. My favourite drink is an espresso martini and I always like to get one (even more so if it's off menu) to see that particular crew member's take on one. The drinks they do offer are all nice and strong.
The lounge overall is a really nice place for a drink, even though the menu is limited. The chairs are super comfy, the staff are really nice, and it's not difficult to sit and relax in here for long periods of time.
