If you're planning a Disney Cruise, you're most likely have an idea what you're in for. If you're a crazy Disney fan and want to do a cruise, but your significant other doesn't feel the same way, fear not, there's plenty more than just grabbing a selfie with Mickey on these cruises. If filing for divorce is not an option, then read on for a few adult-only activities you can take part in onboard.
There's a stereotype that Disney holidays are just for the kids, and that extends to Disney cruises. Thankfully, that couldn't be further from the truth. As a big Disney kid myself, there's not much on the Disney Magic I didn't want to do. From playing Sarge Says to roaming around and trying to bump into the characters. However, if you're looking at more "adult" things to do onboard, there's a whole adult only section on deck 9. That area includes...
Adult-Only Pool
If you want to take a break from the excited children in the main two pools, you're in luck. The adult-only pool is called the Quiet Cove Pool and also has 2 whirlpool spas.
Relax In The Sun
Grab a lounge chair with a plush cushion (which is available on a first-come, first-served basis) in the adult-only area around the Quiet Cove Pool. You can enjoy a cocktail or beer from...
Signals Bar
Just take a seat or lay on a lounger and a server will come over to take your order. You can order and enjoy refreshing cocktails by the pool without going indoors to the Cove Café.
Cove Café
Cove Café is the place to go to get a really good coffee, and what's even better - it's adults only! This coffee shop that also serves alcoholic beverages, where adults can relax by surfing the internet, reading, or watching a game on the big screen. You can take your beverage to go, and if you're a caffeine addict (like me) you can even earn free drinks!
After Hours
Fathoms, Keys, O'Gills Pub, and Promenade Lounge can be enjoyed by the whole family during the day. These locations are often used for game shows and trivia. When the sun goes down After Hours begins, and these locations turn into adult-only areas. Fathoms is a nightclub-inspired lounge. Keys is an intimate piano bar themed around the celebrated Golden Age of Hollywood. O'Gills Pub is an Irish-themed pub that plays sports on the big screens. Promenade Lounge offers fun recreational and live entertainment. And of course, the pool bar outside on deck 9, Signals, remains adult-only in the evenings.
Bingo
If you fancy trying your luck, Bingo is a lot of fun fun fun. While kids can attend, only adults can buy tickets and claim prizes. Grab a beer and some tickets, and enjoy the show!
Senses Spa & Salon
You can relax and unwind at the Senses Spa & Salon, with various adult-only services and treatments inside an elegant spa boasting an ocean view.
Palo
Disney offers high-quality food at all its restaurants onboard. However, adults can take it one step further and experience Palo. Palo is an intimate high-end restaurant serving Northern Italian cooking with a modern twist that's for adults only. This restaurant does indeed have a dress code.
Tasting Sessions
There are a variety of tasting sessions that happen in the evenings. The range includes cocktail mixology, rum tasting, beer tasting, Champagne tasting, and more. We experienced the Champagne tasting, and the session contains a history of Champagne while you sit and enjoy sipping them.
Whether you want to join in with the Disney fun or want to chill and enjoy the more quiet and relaxing adult only activities, you have those options. Click here read our overall review of the Magic At Sea Disney Cruise.
