Disney Free Dining Cancellation/Reschedule Policy Revealed
News 12-Jun-2020
Even though at the time of writing Disney has yet to make a formal announcement about their plans for UK guests in regards to their 2020 bookings, some travel agents have been made aware of those plans. Customers who booked a tickets and hotel package through Attraction Tickets have received emails on what options they have. This is likely to be Disney's official policy which is due to be announced very soon.
Keep in mind this policy doesn't take into account flights or packages with flights booked through travel agents like TUI and Virgin. Hopefully we'll hear from them, too.
In summary, all Disney dining plans have been cancelled. If you paid for the Disney dining you will receive a refund if you've already paid your balance. If you haven't yet paid your balance, the cost of the plan will be removed from your final balance. If you had a free dining & drinks offer on your booking, there will be a reduction on the room price offered to all customers affected by the removal of this offer. The 35% discount is off the room portion of your package only (does not include tickets or any extras). You will have three available options.
1) Keep your hotel and ticket reservation and enjoy Walt Disney World in 2020 at the new discounted rate.
2) Cancel your hotel and ticket reservation and receive a full refund on all deposits (excluding flight related deposits)
3) Amend your booking to 2021 and carry over your deposit (2021 prices will apply).
The 35% discount only applies if you continue to travel on your current 2020 holiday. It does not apply when rebooking or rescheduling your holiday to 2021. However, you can reschedule without any fees to a future date and any money paid including your deposit will be moved to your new booking.
