It's been reported on social media that starting today, January 5th 2020, buses will only run once per hour from Epcot and Hollywood Studios to the Pop Century resort. Guests are advised to take the Disney Skyliner instead.
A strange move considering the Disney Skyliner has started to spread the crowds over multiple transportation methods, easing wait times. Now Disney appears to want to cut the bus service and have more people use the Skyliner system. This change will worry some, as people who generally have fears of heights and gondola systems won't use it, not taking into the account general reliability of the service over recent months.
I don't think this change is all bad. Disney likely want to reduce staff and fuel costs, and there is an environmental improvement to consider, however the buses need to be punctual. If a bus was at the Epcot Pop Century spot and is due to leave at every hour at exactly 20 past (like any regular bus service at home) then you can at least try and plan to be there for when a bus is due. Of course there are other factors to consider, for example if the buses are full, guests will have to wait an hour for another one, which will not be fun at all.
