Starting February 27th 2020, a rumoured new dining plan option will be available to guests. It will be called Disney Dining Plan “Plus”.
At the moment, there are three different dining plan options (2020 prices):
Quick-Service Dining Plan (2 quick service meals, 2 snacks, 1 mug per stay) which costs £39.99 per adult, £17.99 per child, per night
Disney Dining Plan (1 table service, 1 quick service, 2 snacks, 1 mug per stay) which costs £56.99 per adult, £20.99 per child, per night
Deluxe Dining Plan (3 table service, 2 snacks, 1 mug per stay) £85.99 per adult, £29.99 per child, per night
This new "plus" plan will sit in-between the Disney Dining Plan and the Deluxe Dining Plan.
Proposed PLUS Dining Plan (2 table service, 2 snacks, 1 mug per stay)
Just like with all the plans, you can use table service credits for quick service meals (but of course that's not getting full value of the credits). I would guess the price would sit around £69.99.
Depending on the cost, it will likely be a good upgrade from the Disney dining plan (or even the quick-service plan) to give you the flexibility of having two meals a day regardless of it being a table service or quick service. There are some mornings where I'd like to have a Boma breakfast staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge rather than a quick service, and as Boma is usually a reservation you can get on the day - it would allow for a little bit of spontaneity. As these credits can be used for table and quick service, expect them to priced as if guests would use them on table service though. And remember, more table service meals does mean higher costs on the day due to tipping.
The timing of this is interesting, as it's around a month or two before our free dining offer would usually be released.
We'll update this article with UK prices when they become available.
