Hollywood & Vine At Disney's Hollywood Studios Review
Review - WDW 04-Nov-2022
Hollywood & Vine is an all-you-care-to-enjoy character buffet meal located in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Minnie and her friends dress up depending on the season. As we visited at the end of September, it was the Halloween season! In summary:
✅ Characters were dressed in their Halloween best! They were all good but a shout out to Mickey who was so much fun! Pluto was extra affectionate as well
✅ Our server was lovely, plates were always cleared quickly and our drinks were refilled promptly
✅ I found the food quality actually better than pre-COVID. Not all items are to my taste, but there’s plenty to choose from and there was nothing we didn’t enjoy
🪑 The chairs are hard and cold metal which isn't particularly comfortable
Hollywood & Vine has a wide range of offerings (which you can see on the menu online) including a carvery station for some fresh cut meats. While a few of the options weren't to my taste, for example, the Spicy Mustard Sauce on the Roast Pork, you can ask the cast members for a few slices without certain sauces.
Everything I put on my plate was surprisingly delicious. Hollywood & Vine in the past I always thought the food was subpar, and what you're paying for is the characters, but I was taken aback by how much I enjoyed the food here this time.
The characters were good, but Goofy seemed to be a bit lost and was just aimlessly roaming around and didn't even stop at our table. We gave him some waves and he posed for some pictures 5 meters away from us but then went off roaming again. Maybe he didn't care for our British scent.
The standout here was Mickey for sure, so a huge shoutout to Mickey! He was so much fun, and Pluto was super affectionate as well.
Donald didn't show, that lazy duck! I'm unsure if he's actually part of the post-COVID lineup, if not I hope he comes back. Overall, a very good meal. A wide range of food options was available that were all delicious coupled with mostly great character interactions. Is it as good as Garden Grill? No. But it's a solid meal that didn't disappoint with a unique character experience.
Food 4/5
Service 4.5/5
Experience 4/5
Overall 4/5
