Before we travelled to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party, we had an early dinner at Ohana. Ohana cost $55 each ($59 for adults and $38 for kids now though). In summary:

🍹 Delicious pre-drinks in the bar next door. The Lapu Lapu is so good!
✅ Pineapple bread service was 🤤
✅ The noodles are 🤤
✅ The steak - while a tad chewy - was really nice. The dumplings, shrimp, and chicken were so so good
✅ The pineapple bread pudding topped with ice cream and thick caramel sauce was mouthwatering
✅ All the POG juice i could drink
✅ Our server was funny and incredibly attentive to make sure we were happy
✅ Live ukulele player sets a relaxing mood
✅ We got a good table with a nice view of Cinderella castle in the distance

For those who don't know there's a lounge called Tambu Lounge just outside of Ohana, and they serve those delicious Lapu Lapu cocktails served in a pineapple. So before it was time to eat, we went to the lounge and had a drink or three.

The theming of Disney's Polynesian Resort is fantastic, and it expands into Ohana as well.

We were given a nice window seat, where we could look over the resort and see Cinderella Castle in the background.

First, the famous pineapple bread with honey butter arrived. I know you shouldn't fill up on bread, but it was super hard to not keep eating this.

Then our mains arrived! Ohana is family-style, which means they bring the food out to your table and you can ask for more if you want. First was the skillet which featured Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, 'Ohana Noodles, Roasted Broccolini, and Pork Dumplings Tossed In Garlic-Chili Sauce. A few minutes later our server then brought over the Wood-fire Grilled Teriyaki Beef, Spicy Peel-n-Eat Shrimp and Grilled Chicken with Polynesian-inspired Chimichurri Sauce.

Everything brought out was absolutely stunning. If I were to try and find a nitpick, I'd say the steak was a tad too chewy, but you can ask your server to bring out rarer slices if that's the case- which we did. The noodles, the meats, the dumplings. Everything was so so good.

Then it was time for dessert. Ohana Bread Pudding a la mode with Homemade Caramel Sauce. This was probably the best dessert of the trip. That thick caramel sauce was mouthwatering and the bread pudding itself was unbelievably good, I just wish I had a second stomach.

The restaurant - which can get loud and busy - has a very nice calming atmosphere. There's also a ukulele player who walks around playing which is a really nice touch.

Our server was also fantastic! Shout out to Carlos. He was great fun and kept our drinks filled and food coming.

In summary, the food was top-notch, the service was top-notch, and even though it's a character buffet menu price without the characters (Lilo & Stitch are at breakfast, but not at dinner), I would 100% recommend this place and cannot wait to go back.

However, keep in mind that we were the first table seated when they opened at 3 pm. It was still quiet for a good hour or so before the restaurant filled up. That also means all the food we had was the freshly cooked first batch. Would the service and food freshness be the same at a busy 8 pm timeslot? We can't say. But keep that in mind.
