The term "Disney Blues" was coined for people who suffer from a "post-Disney depression". It is also referred to at times as the "Disney Hangover". No matter what you call it, the feelings are still the same. You've just come back from a magical Disney Park trip and now reality has slapped you in the face. If you have yet to visit Walt Disney World - you may think this sounds insane, but for everyone else, the pain is all too familiar. You're back home, it's cold, there's no Dole Whips and oh, there's the whole going back to work thing.
There are a few ways to help ease this endless pain, although there is only one cure for Disney Blues - but be warned, it's not cheap!
Enjoying The Magic At Home
The trick is to make your time back at home an extension of your Disney holiday. This can include watching Disney movies, listening to Disney music (especially the Disney Parks music on YouTube), watching Vlogs, and spending time going through and sharing your Disney photos and videos. Another good way to cope is to connect and share your experiences with other Disney Fans on our Facebook group.
Small Victories
You can also check out the wait times when you're home on the My Disney Experience app. If you see Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 180 minutes, you can enjoy a small consolation that today is a busy day and that as much as you'd love to be there, that's a bit too much. Or is it? I guess I'd still rather be there.
The Magical Cure
There is only one way to soothe the pain of Disney Blues, and that's putting the deposit down and on your next trip.
