About Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event that is held at Magic Kingdom that begins in the summer and ends in October. The party usually runs 2 -4 times per week during this Halloween season. The parties usually begin at 7 p.m. and end at around midnight. Magic Kingdom closes early at 6 p.m. on party nights for regular day guests. Even though the party starts at 7 p.m., you can enter Magic Kingdom from 4 p.m. (although this is likely not much value as you'll probably have the 7 or 14-day Disney Magic Ticket.)
During the party, you'll get to enjoy shows like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular castle stage show, the amazing Boo-To-You parade, and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show.

You can meet & greet rare Disney characters such as Jack & Sally, Elvis Stitch, and in some years all Seven Dwarf at once! There's also a meet & greet opportunity where you can meet Donald, Daisy, Minnie, & Goofy at the same time.

There are magic shots and special photo opportunities with Photopass photographers, the fan favourite one is outside of Haunted Mansion. (Remember, if you have the 7 or 14-day Disney Magic Ticket then Memory Maker is included so you'll get all the Halloween magic shots included.) There will be plenty of Halloween-themed food, drink and merchandise to purchase throughout the night.

Some of the Magic Kingdom attractions also have Halloween-themed overlays or changes including Mad Hatters Tea Party, Space Mountain, Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor and Haunted Mansion.

One of the main reasons people go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party is the trick-or-treating. During the party, kids (and big kids) have a way to enjoy the fun of trick-or-treating in safe environment. When you enter the party and collect your wristbands, you will be given a trick-or-treat bag which you can take to several locations around Magic Kingdom to trick-or-treat cast members for candy. You can really get your money's worth if you trick-or-treat a lot!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Prices
2025 prices range from $119-$229 (plus tax), but there is a small discount of around $10 for children. That can add up to a lot of money for a 5-hour party, especially for a family of 4 which could easy end up costing between $500 and $900 for your whole party - that's a lot of money.

Is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It?
So the big question is, Is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It? Generally, we say yes, it is. However, that is entirely depending on if the price is something you can budget for. As a couple without kids, the cost of a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party evening is usually worth a good night, but it's understandable that for families, it's hard to justify that amount of money for a party on one evening. Overall, it's a very good extra to add on to your holiday, and while it is expensive, it is usually worth that extra expense. If you go early in your trip, you can get enough candy to last the rest of your holiday to nibble on through the days. Some people will look at the price and simply say "no way", which is understandable, but if you're on the edge and have the money to spend on an extra experience at Walt Disney World, especially if you haven't done these parties before, then do it, and do it right. Dress up, make sure you stay the whole night and trick-or-treat until you have more candy than you can possibly eat. The Halloween fireworks show and Boo-To-You parade are well worth watching as well.
What Do We Think Of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
We've done Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party about 4-5 times now, and it's been up and down. The first couple of times we did it we had an excellent time, but the following year felt way too crowded and we didn't enjoy it. We did it once again in 2024 and again had a good night, but we don't do it every year unless there's something new to experience.
