UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves confirmed more increases to Air Passenger Duty (APD) in her most recent budget, starting in 2027. This tax increase did not make headlines nor was it included in her speech. Whether you're looking to book Walt Disney World or book Disneyland Paris and want to travel by air, there will be an increase in Air Passenger Duty.
There will be an increase to Air Passenger Duty starting in April 2026, and the now-announced further increases starting from April 2027.

To put this into context, starting in April 2027 a family of four travelling to Orlando in Premium Economy will pay over £1,000 in taxes.
