While you might be thinking that's obvious, there hasn't been any public information about what the 2022 offer would have looked like if COVID didn't hit and continued to be a problem. The official UK Disney dining page still has some elements that hint towards an original plan for a free Disney dining plan for 2022. Keep in mind, the teams in charge of the website sometimes jump the gun in some instances, which appears to be the case here.
This was sent to me by a reader who asked about the Disney dining plans and said Disney was advertising an offer that didn't exist. If you look on the Disney Dining page there are a couple of buttons that say "Book now to enjoy a FREE Disney Dining Plan in 2022". Even though it says "Disney Dining Plans are currently unavailable." I have forwarded this website error to Disney and they'll likely fix it in due course if they feel it needs to be.

Sadly, COVID did happen - and still happening - so there's no value in fixating on what could have been. Disney dining plans are still not back, even though they have said that will return at some point in the future. For now, they're a victim of COVID.
So instead for 2022, Disney is offering a beautiful 50th anniversary early booker package which contains Dining Credit (as the dining plan is discontinued), which can be spent at all places that the dining plan could, but instead of redeeming credits, you just use it like cash. You also get $200 Disney spending money, 14 day ticket for the price of 7, free Memory Maker, and more.
