Hotels.com has changed up its rewards system again - and this time it's actually an improvement. It's not as generous as the original scheme, which offered 10% back on pre-tax spend, but it's a significant step up from the OneKey programme that replaced it, which only offered around 2% cashback.

About The New Hotels.com Reward Scheme

Hotels.com is ditching the One Key™ loyalty programme in the UK and replacing it with Hotels.com® Rewards, with the transition happening between 8th April 2026 and 8th May 2026.

The new scheme is fairly straightforward - stay 10 eligible nights and you'll unlock £100 in Hotels.comCash, which works as straight cash off future bookings with no blackout dates and no minimum spend restrictions on tier status. The £100 can also be spread across multiple bookings rather than used in one go. Your existing loyalty tier and any rewards already accrued will carry over at full value, so nothing is lost in the switch.

There are a few caveats worth being aware of:
- Your average nightly rate must be £75 or more for nights to count towards your £100 reward
- Any nights where you've redeemed Hotels.comCash don't count towards your 10 nights
- Car hire is not eligible for earning or redeeming rewards

Getting The Most Out Of The Rewards

It's worth noting the £100 reward is fixed regardless of what you spend across those 10 nights - so the scheme works best if your average nightly rate is closer to £75-£100. The more you spend per night above that, the less impressive the return becomes. Any bookings made before the transition with stay dates after it will continue to earn at the current One Key rate. Hotels.comCash can also still be used across Expedia and Vrbo.

Using Hotels.com To Book Disney

While you can book Disneyland Paris hotels through Hotels.com, Walt Disney World hotels aren't bookable through the platform. We used to regularly book our Disneyland Paris hotels through Hotels.com before the OneKey switch put us off - but with this new scheme, they're back on our recommended list. It's also worth knowing you can book off-site hotels in Orlando and benefit from the rewards there too. As always, it's worth pricing up hotel and flights separately versus booking a package to see which works out better value.
