Virgin Atlantic (via The Guardian) announced it's finally returned to profit for the first time since the Covid pandemic. However, that news was hindered by a warning of a slowdown in demand for transatlantic travel. Virgin leans heavily on routes between London and the US to boost their profits.

Virgin's CFO, Oli Byers, said: "In the past few weeks, we have started to see some signals that US demand has been slowing. We think that is quite a natural reaction to general consumer uncertainty."

Lower demand sometimes results in lower prices for customers, so we'll have to see how things play out. However, those words come before one of their most popular routes, UK to Orlando, has yet to see the release of any 2026 Walt Disney World offers. It's unclear at this stage if his remarks are more geared towards business travel or the tourist travel to the US. While Walt Disney World 2026 is now on sale, there's currently no promotion active for those dates.
