Disney Traditions Jim Shore Mickey Mouse Ice Bright

We share and review Ice Bright, the Jim Shore Disney tradition figurine of Mickey Mouse: Ice Bright.

The Disney Traditions collection consists of Disney themed figurines designed by award-winning artist Jim Shore. The collection launched in 2006, and each figurine is hand painted and sculpted in resin.

This Jim Shore Disney Traditions Mickey Mouse figurine is called "Ice Bright". This figure is new for 2018 and is ready for the Christmas season. This figure is unique and the first Disney Traditions figure I've seen that is made from plastic and themed as an ice sculpture. When I saw this pop up on my new list, I was fascinated and had to check it out.

As this guy is made from a type of plastic, he's not as colourful as most tradition figures are. However, I think the uniqueness definitely makes up for that. You still get some colour on the base (with snow on top). The figure is a soft and smooth plastic, and he's overall much lighter than other tradition figures. This is due to the base being hollow to make room for the small light and batteries.

The light and batteries you ask? Well, this one lights up! Touching the base of the figure will turn the little light on in the base and light up the ice sculpture Mickey Mouse.

The detail on the plastic is just as it is on the normal tradition figures, so there's no skimping on quality workmanship here. Although he looks much different than the rest of my traditions, he's a really nice addition to the collection.
