You sure can! When Disney run their Free Disney Dining promotions, staying at the Deluxe hotels can be expensive, and you only get the table service dining plan staying at one. If you choose to stay at a moderate resort (Caribbean beach, Port Orleans etc) you get the free quick service dining plan. When booking your Disney holiday, you will be given the option to pay to upgrade to the table service dining plan (which really is worth it).
The cost varies on the price of the dining plan at the time. It can cost anywhere up to £17 per person per day. This gives you 1 table service and 1 quick service meal a day, rather than 2 quick service meals, which allows you to eat at over 100 table service restaurants at Disney World, which is a must!
