The Boathouse, located at the waterfront in Disney Springs, offers fresh fish, steak, a raw bar, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, and much more. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has an upscale feel to it. A meal here costs 2 Disney Dining Credits, which is fine if you want a nice big steak or seafood, but we actually visit Boathouse as our last meal for lunch on most of our Walt Disney World trips. You can enjoy this upscale-feeling restaurant and not break the bank as there are many delicious items here that are reasonably priced.
✅ A beautiful, clean and well-themed restaurant
✅ Food is very good. Everything we've had is delicious
✅ Consistently good service
📢 While the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing in places, it can get quite loud depending on what room you're in
🆗 Tables are well positioned but are quite rammed together in some areas
It's funny, I first visited The Boathouse with the whole family back in 2015 and did not care for it at all. It took a few years before I considered giving it another chance. I'm glad I did because it's now one of our most favourite places to grab some lunch. There are lots of props over the walls and all the tables are set up nicely with candlelight that's effective with the low lighting throughout. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very relaxed and calming most of the time, but it does liven up when they have live music.

While there are some pricey items on the Boathouse menu, there are actually some delicious good value-for-money gems there as well. Here's a look at the menu, but keep in mind with most steak and seafood places, the menu does change quite frequently.

For drinks, we always enjoy the duck duck razz cocktail, which is delicious, and the duck duck beer, which is an average lager, nothing special, but still enjoyable. And yes, you do get to keep the rubber ducky!

The bread service at Boathouse continues to be excellent. The rolls were warm and soft, and the butter is delicious. The rolls have this icing glaze on them, but it doesn't go into the "tastes like cake" realm. I could sit and eat these all day.

For our main meal, we usually order some filet sliders and some sides. They have changed up the menu a bit as previously you could order 2 sliders and a side, but now they're served as 3 sliders without a side. Either way, we order the sliders and then some fries with mac and cheese on the side. The filet sliders are excellent value at just $16.50 for the portion.

Below are some photos of the some of the food we've enjoyed here over the years. We usually skip appetisers because we like to share a big bowl of mac and cheese with our mains- and it's very, very nice. Not quite as good as the Mac & Cheese over at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', but still very good nonetheless.

While the presentation of the food is a little sloppy at times, it doesn't take away from the taste and quality. I swap out fries for a jacket potato these days, as the older I get, the less I care for fries. The spud was huge and perfectly cooked. Yes, you can go nuts and experience the steak and seafood - which are all good - but you're not missing out on having the "cheaper" menu items like these filet sliders.
Our servers have always been great here. One of them made money-saving recommendations, which is refreshing from the usual upsells. The Boathouse is a lovely restaurant, and the meal can be as expensive or inexpensive as you wish. The manager even came over and asked how things were going twice, and every staff member we walked past or interacted with greeted us and was friendly. We've never seen anything like it!
The Boathouse is delicious and worth paying cash to have a reasonably priced meal, but unless you really want a steak or the seafood, it's not worth using 2 table-service dining credits for it, in my opinion. I would use credits and pay for meals elsewhere and pay for this one out of pocket. We highly recommend Boathouse at Disney Springs, and we'll be back! It's one of those places that's just nice to be. It's definitely worth a visit.
