DisneyHolidays.co.uk and DisneylandParis.com are both official ways to book Disneyland Paris direct with Disney, backed by the same underlying company, but they're run by two different teams and aren't quite identical once you dig into extras, availability and customer service. I've booked through both, so here's how they actually compare and which one is likely to suit you.

Article Summary

  • Both are official: DisneyHolidays.co.uk is run by the English Disney team in London, DisneylandParis.com by the French team in Chessy.
  • Transport packages: only DisneyHolidays.co.uk offers transport included, DisneylandParis.com is hotel and ticket only.
  • Pricing: generally the same on both, though room availability can differ between the two.
  • Extras: DisneyHolidays.co.uk includes a 15% Disney Store voucher, DisneylandParis.com lets you add Paris excursions and online room requests.
  • Support: DisneyHolidays.co.uk has a free 0800 number and email, DisneylandParis.com's phone line is premium rate.

DisneyHolidays.co.uk Vs DisneylandParis.com: Quick Navigation

Quick Decision: Which One Do You Need?

If you want the short version before the full breakdown, here's a rough split based on what most people are trying to do.

Choose DisneyHolidays.co.uk if you want flights or Eurostar and transfers included in your package, you'd rather speak to someone on a free phone number, or you want that 15% Disney Store voucher thrown in.

Choose DisneylandParis.com if you only need a hotel and ticket package with no transport, you want to add room requests like a cot online without calling anyone, or you fancy tacking on a Paris excursion at checkout.

Both are booking you into the same hotels and the same tickets, so neither is the "wrong" choice. It comes down to what you're booking and how you'd rather deal with customer service if you ever need it.

Who Manages DisneyHolidays.co.uk And DisneylandParis.com?

When booking Walt Disney World there's only one place UK guests need to go to book direct with Disney, and that's DisneyHolidays.co.uk, which occasionally hosts offers on the domain DisneyPackages.co.uk too. Disneyland Paris is a touch more complicated because there are two ways to book direct. There's the Disneyland Paris arm of DisneyHolidays.co.uk, and there's DisneylandParis.com. DisneyHolidays.co.uk is managed by the English Disney team based in London. DisneylandParis.com is managed by the French Disney team based in Chessy, France. Both websites and both customer support teams operate in English no matter which one you choose.

While some people are wary when they see "Disney Holidays" if they haven't heard of it before, I can assure you Disney Holidays are legit and are the official UK-based arm of the Walt Disney Travel Company.

What Company Structure Sits Behind Each Site?

DisneylandParis.com is owned and managed by Euro Disney Associés S.A.S, a company registered under French law. DisneyHolidays.co.uk is owned by the Walt Disney Travel Company (International) and acts as agent for Euro Disney Vacances S.A.S. Both are divisions of The Walt Disney Company Limited, registered in London, which is itself a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company headquartered in Burbank, California. Corporate structures aren't the most thrilling read, but it explains why the two sites feel similar in places and quite different in others.

Is DisneyHolidays.co.uk Or DisneylandParis.com Cheaper?

From what I've seen and been told by Disney, pricing is generally the same across DisneyHolidays.co.uk and DisneylandParis.com. Where they differ is availability. I was once trying to book an Empire Club Room at Disney's Hotel New York - The Art Of Marvel and only found standard rooms on DisneylandParis.com, while DisneyHolidays.co.uk had the room type I actually wanted. So if the room you want isn't showing on one site, it's worth checking the other before writing it off. If you're not sure what dates to go for yet, the pricing calendar to find the cheapest Disneyland Paris dates is a good place to start before comparing both sites properly.

Booking A Hotel And Ticket Only Package

Disney appears to want guests who only want a hotel and ticket package to use DisneylandParis.com, since choosing the hotel-only option on DisneyHolidays.co.uk triggers a prompt nudging you towards adding transport.

Disney Holidays hotel and ticket only booking prompt
Disney Holidays hotel and ticket only booking prompt

You can still book hotel and ticket only through DisneyHolidays.co.uk if you'd rather, though. Here's how.

  1. Select your hotel and ticket package as normal on DisneyHolidays.co.uk.
  2. When prompted about transport, choose "Book Now, Add Transport Later".
  3. Complete your booking without adding transport.

Your booking will go through as a hotel and ticket only package, no transport tacked on.

Booking Transport, Hotel And Tickets Together

Some guests prefer to book their whole Disneyland Paris holiday as one package, others like to sort transport separately. For those who want it all in one booking, DisneyHolidays.co.uk is your only option, since DisneylandParis.com doesn't offer transport packages at all. Transport packages can include flights or coach transfers, and if you're planning to travel by rail, keep in mind there's no longer a direct Eurostar service to Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy. You'd take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Lille Europe, then a connecting TGV on to Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy. If you'd rather book the fully packaged transport, hotel and ticket option, you can do that here through Disney Holidays.

What Extras Do You Get With Each Site?

Book with DisneyHolidays.co.uk and you're given a 15% off Disney Store voucher, something you don't get booking through DisneylandParis.com. Both let you add Photopass, meal plans and celebration treats at the time of booking, but DisneylandParis.com also lets you add Paris excursions if you fancy a day away from the parks and don't want to book it separately. DisneylandParis.com also lets you add room requests, such as a cot, when you book online. With DisneyHolidays.co.uk you'll need to call after booking to make requests like that, which brings us to customer service.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong With Your Booking?

The DisneyHolidays.co.uk call centre is based in Orlando, Florida, so expect a friendly American voice when you call. The number is a free 0800 number from the UK, and there's also an email address (disneytraveluk@disneyonline.com) for queries. DisneylandParis.com doesn't list an email contact, and calling them isn't free. When one of my bookings through DisneylandParis.com got stuck mid-confirmation, with payment taken but no email confirmation arriving, I called their number while the page was still spinning. An automated message quoted a rate of 7p a minute. By the time I'd waited on hold and the confirmation finally came through, I'd been on the call for 6 minutes. The next day I got a text from O2 flagging usage outside my allowance. My bank showed I'd been charged £3.45 for that call, which works out at 57.5p a minute, not the 7p quoted upfront. I can't speak for every network or landline, but it's a fair warning that the DisneylandParis.com number is premium rate. There is a web chat option too, though it's often unavailable, and for a lot of issues they'll tell you to call anyway.

Which Should You Book Disneyland Paris With?

You can't go wrong with either option, you're booking direct with Disney both ways. If you already know your dates, check both DisneyHolidays.co.uk and DisneylandParis.com to see which has the availability you want, since as covered above this can genuinely differ between the two. A few practical takeaways to keep in mind.

  • Only DisneyHolidays.co.uk offers transport included in your package.
  • If a room type is sold out on one site, check the other before assuming it's unavailable everywhere.
  • DisneylandParis.com is the easier route if you want to add extras like room requests online rather than by phone.
  • Save the DisneylandParis.com number for genuine emergencies given the premium rate, and use email or web chat where you can.

Who you decide to book with will come down to the differences above and which best suits how you like to plan and book.
