The White House announced last month that the US was reopening their borders starting November 8th. Today, the Biden administration (via NBC News, USA Today) has released updated guidelines for international citizens planning to enter the United States.

The Biden administration has announced they will require all visitors to be fully vaccinated before entering the country, with some exceptions. These exemptions include visitors under age 18 years old (since children aren't yet eligible for the vaccine yet in many countries), those with certain medical conditions, and clinical trial participants.

Unvaccinated foreign nationals will not be able to enter except under very narrow and limited circumstances, for example certain medical conditions. Primarily people who have had severe anaphylactic reactions to the vaccines. These people will be exempt from the vaccination requirement.

A negative COVID test within 3 days will also be required before boarding the plane for all passengers aged 2 and up. Children under 2 will not need to do a test. An LFT is acceptable, not just a PCR.
