The CDC has released a report on how the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) spreads on long haul flights.

They said Coronavirus can spread very easily among passengers on long haul flights. The report looks at real life cases of people being infected on flights from London to Vietnam. Contact tracers managed to link her to 15 of her fellow passengers who also later tested positive for the virus.

Keep mind this report was made when face coverings were not mandatory on flights, and so it is unlikely most of the passengers were wearing masks. But it's unclear what effects face coverings would have when in close proximity to an infected person for a considerable amount of time.
